My goodness, it's odd writing this after over a month of furious activity. Your editor has successfully relocated to Florida and is moving into an apartment in Pembroke Pines tomorrow morning. He's on a one month temp-to-perm job and hopes it will turn into a permanent position; otherwise he'll be looking for another position soon in Miami or Fort Lauderdale. The apartment lease is for one year, which narrows the geographical parameters a bit.

In his absence, cdlu, andy, dent, Klatu and others have been holding the fort. Thanks to them and a number of other volunteers for their efforts. After a great deal of work on the code, staff made one attempt to switch to the new server, which was not entirely successful. They're working on resolving the problems and hope to schedule another cutover attempt in the near future. We'll keep you posted. Thanks to everyone, including asuffield, for the ongoing work on the new server code.

Your editor has spoken to our lawyer and will be talking with her again tomorrow about finishing up the incorporation and 501c3 filing.
